Job Details Job Location: PMC-Arlington Corps - ARLINGTON, VA 22204 Position Type: Full Time Regular Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Salary Range: $50,761.62 - $63,557.91 Salary/year Job Category: Ministerial Schedule/Hours: Full-time Regular/Salary This position is responsible for: Subscribing, adhering to, and sharing the Doctrines, Mission, and Positions of The Salvation Army Serves as an evangelist to the community and constituency of the Corps; develops and leads worship services and ministerial programs; provides spiritual guidance and leadership to the same. Serve the Corps by assisting the Corps Officer in planning, coordinating, administrating, monitoring, evaluating, and developing the day-to-day operations of the Corps; develops and leads religious programs; participates in social service programs providing assistance to people in need; coordinates arrangements for seasonal programs and recruits/supervises volunteers for the same; Supervises and schedules Corps groups, community outreach programs, and social service work; monitors and maintains adequate financing and budgetary compliance of the Corps operations. Participates in providing assistance to people in need. Key Responsibilities: Corps & Youth Ministry Program Outreach Administrative Volunteer Supervision Driving Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to Friday nights as well as Sunday being a working day. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English and Spanish language. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, adding machine, etc. Ability to drive safely. Ability to follow directions. Ability to multitask. Ability to be flexible with task management. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment. Required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Moderate to high mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a combination of office and field settings (in and outdoors) with exposure to outdoor temperatures and driving a vehicle in moderate to heavy traffic. Significant driving may be required in this position and as a result there may be exposure to hazardous road conditions. Duties are usually performed by a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and/or driving a vehicle. Duties may also require ability to lead and participate in recreational and/or athletic/sports programs. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, AND Three years’ experience performing mission work or experience participating in program development for a church or corps; OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Licenses & Certifications Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements. Bon-a-fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): This position requires an active, uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing.
