Documented knowledge of Prison Policies and Procedures/or Facility Operations. Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Salary Range: $37,782.00 - $66,120.00 This is a REPOST. Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply. This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm, Blanch, North Carolina which houses approximately 640 male offenders. The individual assigned to this position will directly report to the Associate Warden of Operations. The primary purpose of this position involves supervision of subordinate staff and executing administrative duties and processes for the operation of the facility. This position responsibilities include the following: Provide leadership and supervision of Correctional Sergeant I’s by managing work assignments performed to ensure facility operation is maintained. May require serving as Officer-In-Charge (OIC) during short staffing, facility emergencies and/or situations that require an Officer-In-Charge. Assist in the planning and supervision of personnel actions, administrative affairs, officers’ work schedule and coordinating activities involving the discipline, security, and the welfare of the offender population. The selected candidate may be selected to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staff coverage.
