The Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC) is dedicated to ensuring public safety through the effective management and rehabilitation of offenders. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers. This position is essential for maintaining the institution’s safety and security and is considered a Law Enforcement position receiving the 20-year retirement package. This is an entry-level position, and career/growth opportunities are available.
Position Overview: As a Correctional Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and safe environment within our correctional facilities. You will be responsible for the supervision, care, and custody of offenders while fostering an atmosphere of respect, rehabilitation, and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and stamina required to perform duties
