Description of Work Salary Range: $37,782 - $66,120 Reporting directly to the Correctional Lieutenant II, this position will provide supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a minimum/medium custody state corrections facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. - Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms. - Accounting for persons and ensuring that all assigned equipment is operationally ready. - Rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Knowledge of Facility Operations. Knowledge of Prisons’ Policy and Procedures. Necessary Special Qualifications: Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission. This is a RE-POST of position 60065735. About Richmond Correctional Institution: Richmond Correctional Institution is located in Hoffman, North Carolina and houses up to 420 male offenders in a medium custody facility.
