Job Details Job Location: Hillcrest Dermatology and Plastic Surgery - Orlando, FL 32801 Cosmetic Coordinator The Patient Care Coordinator is a key administrative role and the main clinical point of contact for patients on their plastic surgery journey from start to finish. This individual must be highly organized, have superior listening and communication skills, the ability to make complex decisions and be a compassionate patient advocate. This trusted role supports staff physicians through screening patients from the first consultation contact call, scheduling surgical appointments, scheduling treatments, managing surgical clearance paperwork, prescriptions, and anesthesia scheduling. Other duties may be necessary as assigned. Essential Functions: Establishing rapport and a level of comfort with each prospect calling for a surgical consult. Providing a quote and scheduling the patient for surgery. Intelligently discussing treatment options as indicated by the provider. Scheduling appointments, surgeries, minor procedures, post ops and office visits. Sending and receiving communications with the anesthesia providers. Reviewing provider daily schedules in conjunction with the call center for inaccuracies or scheduling errors. Ensuring full surgical schedules, and full patient day schedules. Manual confirmation of specific appointment types, as required. Acting as liaison as needed between the patient and the surgical implant companies. Maintain a professional, yet personable demeanor at all times, under all circumstances. Serves and protects the health care community by adhering to professional standards, practice policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Pursues professional development and maintains current knowledge of regulatory and industry standards in relation to healthcare and role. Qualifications Qualifications & Skills: Minimum Associate’s Degree in related field (Science, Social Sciences, Healthcare, Medical), relevant work experience or training considered as substitution. Minimum 1-year Plastic Surgery experience Minimum 1-year Healthcare experience Bilingual a + (not required) Superior soft skills Patient advocate Technology literate
