Description
An Inspector begins and ends their workday at their residence. The inspector travels daily using a state-issued vehicle within their assigned area to conduct routine, follow-up and complaint-based inspections for infection control, safety, and licensing compliance of individuals and businesses.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Completing inspections of businesses and individuals licensed by the Board.
Composing/preparing and emailing completed reports of inspection findings to licensees.
Using state-issued laptop equipment to compete inspections.
Testifying in 119/adjudication hearings when requested.
Maintaining assigned state-owned vehicle, reporting needed maintenance and submitting gas purchases.
Communicating with Board licensees and the general public.
The selected candidate must live in one of the following counties: Montgomery, Greene, and Clark.
Current licensure as a Cosmetologist per chapter 4713 of the Ohio Revised Code or current licensure as a Barber per chapter 4709 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Valid driver’s license.
