Description

Our client is gearing up for the preparation of the 2026 budget and seeking a Cost Analyst to support the development of their cost budget. This role will play a key part in providing accurate costing analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering insights that will drive informed business decisions. The role is a 4-month contract and requires the candidate to be in office in Mississauga 3 days per week (Monday is mandatory)

Working closely with the Finance team, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine cost budgets in alignment with 2026 business objectives
  • Analyze costing data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Partner with operations, finance, and other stakeholders to gather and validate budget inputs
  • Prepare and maintain detailed costing models in Excel
  • Support ERP-related reporting and data extraction (experience with D365 and/or AX is an asset)

  • Proven experience in costing within a budgeting or FP&A environment
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365 and/or AX preferred)
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to work collaboratively across department
