Description Ascentec Engineering is hiring a detail-oriented and hands-on Cost Accountant to join our growing manufacturing company! This role is responsible for analyzing product costs, maintaining accurate inventory and manufacturing cost data, supporting financial reporting, and helping management make informed operational and pricing decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys digging into data, and can partner effectively with both finance and operations teams. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) at our Tualatin, Oregon facility and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard costs. Analyze costs performance against expectations. Support month-end close activities related to inventory, work-in-process, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variances Partner with operations, purchasing, and engineering to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and ERP data integrity Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities Develop and improve cost reports, models, and internal controls to support decision-making in a growing business Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience, with cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and general accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and operational teams Self-starter who can adapt in a growing company environment The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship.
