POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cost Accountant collaborates with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. The qualifications for this position include skills in SAP ERP system and office software like Microsoft Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • 6+ years’ of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP system and Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics
  • Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of organizational accounting concepts
  • Good attention to detail with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously in an accurate and on a timely basis.

Responsibilities
  • Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs.
  • Setting standard costs of manufactured goods.
  • Preparing monthly manufacturing cost report.
  • Communicate with management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
  • Performing account reconciliations.
  • Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books
  • Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
  • Participate in other strategic finance, accounting, and business projects if needed.
