Description Responsible for analyzing and managing an organization's costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and providing insights for budgeting and financial decision-making. Job Responsibilities: Analyze the cost structure of the business, including engineering services, labor, and overhead, to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving measures. Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring that all expenses are well-planned and justified. Prepare detailed reports on cost analysis, budget variances, and financial forecasts to assist management in decision making. Work closely with other departments, such as finance and operations, to gather data and provide insights that support strategic planning. Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accurate accounting for inventory and fixed assets. Assisting with month-end closing process ensuring the proper documentation. Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management. Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit. Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data. Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books. Experience doing monthly R&D, P&L, and Cash Forecast is important. Familiarity working with a services company (engineering). Or R&D controller type background. Requirements Advanced SAP experience - will create and maintain associated projects, records, and cost centers within SAP. 8-10 years’ experience as a Cost Account or R&D assistant controller. Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies. A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively. Familiarity with accounting software and tools (SAP), as well as advanced Excel skills for data analysis. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Professional certification such as a CMA (Certified Management Account) is preferred.
