POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Cost Accounting Assistant is a key member of the construction project costing team, responsible for tracking and reporting revenue, costs, and margins for each construction project. Primary duties include reviewing and processing subcontractor invoices to ensure compliance with purchase agreements prior to final approval and payment. This role also assists in the review of project material and labor costs and supports various accounts payable processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or relevant work experience
  • 2–3 years of experience in cost accounting
  • Experience in the construction industry and multi-location operations preferred
  • Proficiency with Acumatica or similar ERP software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and financial reporting skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and hard-workingPre-employment drug screen, credit check, and background check required
