POSITION SUMMARY

Litco International is looking to add a highly motivated Cost Accountant to our team based out of Vienna, OH. We are seeking a professional, organized, detail oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic that enjoys being a team player. The Cost Accountant works directly with the accounting team and other stakeholders to accurately record and track all day-to-day financial transactions on a corporate level for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will possess a background in manufacturing and will be familiar with common accounting practices and accounting software programs. Prior inventory experience within a manufacturing setting is a must. The Cost Accountant supports the accounting team to maintain accurate and efficient financial records daily. Integrity and attention to detail are a must.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting related field required
· At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing related field required
· At least 2 years of inventory experience in manufacturing
· Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting
· Must be able to prepare, review and understand all financial statements
· Epicor/ERP experience is a plus
· Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and accounting software
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to receive and follow specific instructions and procedures given by multiple individuals
· Must be able to maintain confidential records and information

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
· Reconciliation of all accounts at the end of each month
· Process accounts receivable
· Monitor/Track inventory levels, inputting counts and making adjustments as necessary
· Creating journal entries for accounts, including fixed assets
· Process inter-company paperwork and billing
· Bank Reconciliations
· Reconciling cash, bank accounts, and other GL accounts
· Collect receivables promptly and make deposits
· Sales Tax preparation and Payroll tax filing audit quarterly
· Other office/admin duties as assigned
· Infrequent travel may be required to conduct multi-company plant visits in Ohio, Mississippi, and South Carolina locations
