Description Position Summary Litco International is looking to add a highly motivated Cost Accountant to our team based out of Vienna, OH. We are seeking a professional, organized, detail oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic that enjoys being a team player. The Cost Accountant works directly with the accounting team and other stakeholders to accurately record and track all day-to-day financial transactions on a corporate level for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will possess a background in manufacturing and will be familiar with common accounting practices and accounting software programs. Prior inventory experience within a manufacturing setting is a must. The Cost Accountant supports the accounting team to maintain accurate and efficient financial records daily. Integrity and attention to detail are a must. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: · Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process · Reconciliation of all accounts at the end of each month · Process accounts receivable · Monitor/Track inventory levels, inputting counts and making adjustments as necessary · Creating journal entries for accounts, including fixed assets · Process inter-company paperwork and billing · Bank Reconciliations · Reconciling cash, bank accounts, and other GL accounts · Collect receivables promptly and make deposits · Sales Tax preparation and Payroll tax filing audit quarterly · Other office/admin duties as assigned · Infrequent travel may be required to conduct multi-company plant visits in Ohio, Mississippi, and South Carolina locations Requirements Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) · Bachelor’s degree in accounting related field required · At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing related field required · At least 2 years of inventory experience in manufacturing · Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting · Must be able to prepare, review and understand all financial statements · Epicor/ERP experience is a plus · Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and accounting software · Strong communication skills · Ability to receive and follow specific instructions and procedures given by multiple individuals · Must be able to maintain confidential records and information Key Competencies: · Organization · Strong presentation skills · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Proficient time management · Dependability · Analytical thinking · Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy is a must · Ability to multi-task and prioritize · High level of discretion and judgment · Contribute to a team effort with other team members throughout the multi-company organization Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Responsibilities
The Cost Accountant is responsible for recording day-to-day financial transactions and reconciling accounts at the end of each month. They will also monitor inventory levels and support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records.
