Under the direction of the Operations Controller, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for transactional cost accounting functions for the Performance Materials division and be based out of the Elmore, Ohio manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for various aspects of the month-end closing activities, the annual physical inventory, and the annual operating budget. Additional duties include assisting in both internal and external audits, preparation of assigned month-end account reconciliations, and maintenance of the standard cost system. Key interfaces are with plant management, engineering, quality, technical, EH&S and manufacturing personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred
• Manufacturing or plant accounting experience preferred
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ability to accurately apply the principles.
• Experience with SAP is preferred, but not required.
• Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
