ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Investigate and process all inventory adjustments in collaboration with operations personnel.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly Absorption Reconciliation to determine standard rate effectiveness.
  • Evaluation of item standard costs via analysis of variances.
  • Review of Schedules of Operating Expenses to identify changes in cost structure and timing variances.
  • Work directly with operations personnel on relevant training/education pertaining to cost accounting system.
  • Help define accurate standard cost rates in collaboration with finance and operations team.
  • Reconciliation of detailed inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Calculate and record monthly Work-in-Process (WIP) accrual for PCS projects and production orders.
  • Analyze Lot Variance and Production Result general ledger account transactions monthly.
  • Maintain and update monthly inventory trend reports by division.
  • Conduct monthly margin report analysis with divisional exception reporting.
  • Assist the Controller in designing ERP mapping schemes for accurate inventory transaction flow.
  • Evaluate adequacy of the slow-moving inventory reserve as of; April, August, and December.
  • Monitor and report on fixed & variable cost trends periodically by division.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for external auditors for the annual physical inventories.
  • Identify and communicate internal control weaknesses in the inventory process to the Controller to support corrective actions.
  • Implement business intelligence tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy (i.e. Power BI, Prophix, etc).
  • Assist in yearly budgeting to help drive financial planning.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP Systems such as LN, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly across various channels.
  • Able to comprehend and respond to written documentation and instructions effectively.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and industry practices.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
  • Ability to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a manufacturing industry, or related field preferred.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly have to travel through the manufacturing departments. The atmosphere is a climatic office setting, and the employee will spend the majority of his/her time sitting at a computer terminal.
