JOB SUMMARY:

This is a mid-level cost accounting position. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining standard costs for all New Hampton operations, prepares sales and margin analysis reports, distribution of sales analysis and helps with special projects and other analyses. This position is accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of these accounting systems and reporting. This position will also be responsible for some general ledger accounting and and may have supervision responsibilities. This position demonstrates professionalism and assistance to reporting manager, sales reps and Directors of Sales.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain standard costs, by SKU, by variable and fixed components
  • Develop a method to combine standard cost and cost of goods sold calculations in streamlined fashion
  • Detail of specific packaging costs, by SKU
  • Maintain standard cost tables
  • Assist non-plant personnel in batch processing & ERP related questions
  • Serve as WMS/SAP subject Matter Expert & assist plant personnel on ERP & batch entry pocedures
  • Produce sales and margin analyses
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with models, plans and forecasts
  • Develops and monitors existing performance indicators, tracks expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyzes fluctuations
  • Research systems to track inputs and outputs of packaging and ingredient materials and develop reports to demonstrate effective yield losses vs standard.
  • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits
  • Reviews and analyzes inventory and production reports, conduct research, and perform ad-hoc analyses
