Our client a Fortune firm is looking for a highly skilled Cost Accounting Manager to join their team in Kent, Connecticut. In this role, you will oversee financial operations related to overhead spending, capital assets, and product costing while providing strategic financial support to both facility and corporate leadership. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring accurate reporting, improving financial processes, and supporting operational strategies. This position is part of a team that is driving global process improvement, automation, and efficiencies.

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly and annual financial statements to facility, division, and corporate leadership.
• Lead the management of capital assets, including quarterly projections, annual budgets, and collaboration with project managers.
• Oversee the facility’s fixed and variable operating budget, totaling approximately $80 million annually.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Collaborate with teams to compile cost improvements, set team goals, and forecast monthly results.
• Organize and report on quarterly physical inventory results.
• Provide financial guidance in areas related to capital spending, indirect costs, and balance sheet management.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with expertise in product costing, manufacturing variances, and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, general accounting, and financial processes within manufacturing environments.
• Experience improving financial controls and influencing business decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
