Summary
Reporting to the Inventory Cost Controller, the Cost Accounting Manager will support leadership in a team of 4-6 Cost Accountants, supervising 2-4.
Cost Accountants specialize in the accounting of product costs recognized in cost of sales and inventory. Varex Imaging (VREX) operates manufacturing plants or service depots in the US, Central America, Europe, and Asia.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand complex spreadsheets and knowledgeable in Cost Accounting concepts.
• Interacts with various departments across the organization and processes within the cost accounting function to aid in recommending and implementing processes.
• Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
• Ability and willingness to manage and provide support to cost accountants in IST and SST time zones, including weekly staff meetings in SST. Work schedule can flux with the time zone requirement.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Strong internal control focus, including control documentation, testing of internal controls, and supporting internal and external audits.
• Performs special projects.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Travel may be required occasionally

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Accounting
• 5+ Years of Related experience
• 3+ Years of management experience or supervisory equivalent
• CMA or CPA preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and all Microsoft products, experience with SAP preferred.
