GENERIC JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the Cost Accounting Manager, supports all cost accounting of the operation, including but not limited to the development and maintenance of statistical information used for inclusion in the cost accounting system/ERP, cost allocations of overhead, shared services and other direct costs applicable. Will create queries, and write and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual financial and cost accounting reports, and specific audit requests, internal and external, as needed. A key participant in Annual Phyiscal Inventory, and new product costing analysis.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Public Accountant and/or Business Administration degree. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in Cost Accounting a MUST.
  • Experience with MEX and US GAAP.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP Systems (Oracle a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of the standards of C-TPAT & OEA.
  • Ability to work under stress and pressure situations that require immediate action.
  • Proficient and a good level of knowledge in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint, Poweer BI/Domo
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills.
  • Driver’s license and current visa to travel to the USA.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the administration of the ERP inventory system and cost setups.
  • Maintain accurate labor and overhead rates within MRP systems.
  • Scrutinize standard costs and margins regularly.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts associated with inventory.
  • Manage and uphold Cost Accounting documentation for internal, statutory, and regulatory compliance.
  • Present clear and concise costing analyses.
  • Work alongside operations to review product costing and margins.
  • Work with Procurement on regular basis to review material costs, current to future (inflation expected) comparisons.
  • OOR templates and linked files, responsible for maintaining and distributing operational reports such as Std Hours, Scrap, Efficiency & Productivity, Sales, Inventory Adjustments, Inventory exhibit and ledger details, manual Entries review and control company lease automobile fleet, among his main responsibilities.
  • Monthly inventory review with Materials Manager (Ensures inventory exhibits are completed by Materials and are accurate to the Perpetuals)
  • Monthly FCST and Actual Sales Records; keeps copy, and makes comparisons at a FG level.
  • Official Annual Physical Inventory Coordinator for Finance
  • Monthly audit sample in Warehouse to validate cycle counting accuracy.
  • Monthly Cycle Counts $500 and Over: Ensure Materials has brought everything to Controller for review.
  • Comply with the company policies, procedures, and external normativity in EH&S, labor, trade compliance, taxes and legal.
  • Write, and Maintain Finance and Cost Accounting Procedures documentation.
  • Able to take over additional assignments as needed.
  • Comply and Support with Record Retention
  • Comply and Support with Company Internal and External Compliance (IT, ITC, MEXGAAP, USGAAP)
