Description

Responsibilities:

The Cost Analyst supports critical program and project decision-making within the NAWCAD Engineering & Logistics organization under NAVAIR’s Mission Operations & Integration (MO&I) group. The Cost Analyst will develop detailed cost estimates, managing budgets, and conducting financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. The role involves gathering and maintaining accurate cost data, collaborating with various departments to support decision-making, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, utilizes cost analysis tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial evaluations, contributing to the organization’s overall financial health and strategic planning.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost estimates and financial models to support program and project decision-making within the NAWCAD MO&I group.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures, perform variance analysis, and generate reports to support cost control and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and program management teams to collect and validate cost data for accurate financial assessments.
  • Apply cost analysis tools and ensure adherence to DoD financial regulations and standards to support audit readiness and forecasting accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with a minor/concentration in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics.
  • A Minimum of 24 semester credit hours in quantitative analysis courses are required.
  • A Minimum of 10 years of cost estimating, cost analysis, scheduling, budgeting, and operations research or engineering experience.
  • A Minimum of 2 years of experience in any leadership/management role required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and experience supporting ACAT I/II programs is preferred.
