Location: Genemuiden – 32 to 40 hours per week
VConsyst is an international provider of innovative total solutions in the field of waste collection and the design and management of public outdoor spaces. With approximately 350 employees at various locations and our head office in Genemuiden, we constantly strive for smart technical solutions that improve ease of use, especially in the waste world. Sometimes we develop these solutions ourselves, sometimes in cooperation with other parties in ambitious projects.
The organization is strengthening and changing to respond well to market demand. The establishment of the Business Office is an important step in this. For this department we are looking for a Cost Price Calculator. This is a new position (production and service oriented) so you can emphatically shape the function here and actively support the organization in further future plans.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An MBO+/HBO degree in technical business administration or mechanical engineering;
  • Between 5 and 10 years of relevant work experience;
  • Mathematical skills: officer must be highly analytical and numerically proficient and be able to perform extensive and complex calculations quickly and accurately;
  • Accuracy and patience: officer must produce accurate, complete and error-free work, given the work is the basis for important commercial and operational decisions;
  • Communication skills: officer must be able to communicate smoothly and effectively with other team members and stakeholders within the company to get needed input for calculations in a timely manner and clearly communicate findings and analysis;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes: officer must be well versed in the various manufacturing processes and techniques used in industry;
  • Technological understanding: officer must be familiar with various technological and software tools and be able to use them effectively in working with technical drawings, specifications and complex (project) schedules.
Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

As a Cost Calculator at VConsyst, you are responsible for calculating the (manufacturing) cost price of requested products and services and for keeping this up to date in the various systems.

You determine:

  • Based on basic item data in the ERP system supplemented with specific customer requirements the (manufacturing) cost price of the requested product;
  • Based on consultation with the manager Field Service of the service department (and a piece of activity based costing) the (make) cost of the requested service or service;
  • Based on activity based costing and consulting with the Insight Service manager the cost of services to be provided.

You are a sparring partner for the product developer and the process engineer in optimizing the (manufacturing) cost price of new products to be developed and/or ETO assignments. You also monitor that the (manufacturing) cost prices of products, services and services in the various systems match. In addition, the cost price calculator is involved in identifying cost saving opportunities and optimizing operational processes.
It is important that you stay up-to-date with developments in the market and new technological developments, in collaboration with Production, Sales, Planning, Purchasing and Project Management in order to keep the (manufacturing) cost price calculation as accurate as possible.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivery of (manufacturing) cost price calculations;
  • Check for timely and correct registration of the various items in the various ERP systems;
  • Monitor that (manufacturing) cost prices in the various ERP systems are up-to-date and correct;
  • Analyze the costs involved in the production processes, such as material/raw material, labor, machinery, overhead and any other ancillary costs;
  • Creating budgets, checking bids and monitoring production costs.
