Job Description
- Responsible for total cost management of projects delivering positive outcomes for our clients, demonstrating leadership, coaching, and innovation of service and knowledge.
- Carry out cost management and contract administration duties with reasonable supervision and guidance
- Lead Cost Manager for new built project
- Provide Cost Advice and Cost Planning including estimate, comparative design studies, life cycle costing, turnover/cash flow projections, cost control and cost report during pre-contract period.
- Responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
- To run the procurement process from all stages in pre-qualification such as quotation enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation
- Provide Documentation including Tender Document, Tender Report, Pre-contract correspondence, LOA and contract documents.
- Monitor and verifying VO, Claims, Payment, Final Account and attending project meetings. Produce monthly cost reports.
- Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database
- Process improvement – Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager
- Provide CM role pro-actively and professionally and interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
QUALIFICATIONS
- This is a client-side position which is full-time based on the construction site.
- Reports to both the project director and the client.
- At least 10 years of experience in commercial management of international industrial, science or data centre experience.
- Some experience delivering projects within a General Contractor would be highly preferred.
- Proficient in both local language and English, both verbal and written.
- End-to-end responsible for the cost and commercial activities with the goal of executing the project within the approved budget while driving the project schedule forward.
- Strong knowledge on both local and international contract documents, combined with a strong understanding of the different types of pricing strategies.
- Experience in cashflow forecasting, accruals, procurement of multidisciplinary packages, construction interfaces and commercial reporting.
- Responsible to lead the cost and commercial management team from the client-side on site.
- Understanding and preparation of earned value management to monitor project performance .
