Role Description: As a Cost Consultant, you will help manage costs and contracts for major infrastructure projects, especially in rail and mobility. You will focus on both quantity surveying and commercial management tasks, using your experience with NEC3/4 contracts (especially Options C and E) to keep projects on track with cost, time, and quality. Building strong relationships with clients and project teams is important for this role. Role Accountabilities: Support the delivery of commercial and quantity surveying services for clients, from early cost planning to final account. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports to help keep projects within targets. Understand client goals in the rail and mobility sectors and provide advice to add value and manage risks. Monitor team performance and make sure all work follows company and contract rules. Manage and administer NEC3/4 contracts, especially Options C and E, including changes, early warnings, and compensation events. Review and analyze project data to help clients make good decisions. Suggest and support improvements to quantity surveying and commercial management processes. Build good relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to help deliver better outcomes and find opportunities for savings. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field. Professional qualification or working towards chartership (such as MRICS, RICS, or similar) is preferred. Experience working on infrastructure projects, especially in rail or mobility. Practical knowledge and experience with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, especially Options C and E. Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
