Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our Downer team. This role will initially be located onsite in Katherine, NT, however, will be scaled back and will then be office based in Brisbane, QLD. You must have site experience.

  • Preparation and Finalisation of progress claim
  • Ability to work with engineers to get quantities of work completed
  • The ability to understand indirect cost and how to be best recover
  • Support variation capture and documentation
  • Maintaining cost forecast and in particular forecast to complete for all costs
  • Provide data on suppliers/subcontractor materials and labour needed to execute planned work package
  • Track costs completed and earned value so that accurate forecast to complete can be achieved
  • Establish and monitor the overall master schedule ensuring ongoing compliance to agreed project schedules, milestones and overall completion timetables
  • Cost control
  • Assist the Project Manager with data for project cost reports and the review of project forecasts in line with specific project requirements
  • Oversee Outstanding Commitments in JDE with the suppliers
  • Implement and maintain cost control as per approved financial processes
  • Regularly perform analytical reviews of cost reporting documentation and present costs status and forecast updates
  • Reporting
  • Attend and provide input to weekly & monthly project management meetings
  • Forecasting manning requirements for project completion
  • Reviewing material requisitions and tender schedules for compatibility with budget and forecast
  • Producing ad-hoc reports as required by either senior management or the client
