FILINVEST COMPANY: GRAFIK PINE HOUSE BAGUIO Position Summary: In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Grafik Pine House Baguio, As the Cost Controller you play a critical role in managing the property's financial efficiency by monitoring expenditures, optimizing procurement, and ensuring cost-effective operations. Your expertise in cost analysis, inventory control, and financial reporting directly supports profitability and budge adherence across the hotel. You are expected to collaborate and work with various operating departments in the hotel. You will guide the team in ensuring they are able to manage their departmental expenditures that affect their overall P&L. Scopes and Responsibilities: You are expected to be familiar and master the Finance system such as Business Central and LS Central You must be able to understand the transaction flow to be able to generate needed reports and see potential problems or discrepancies You will prepare financial reports related to Food cost, Wastage, Beverage reports, Inventory management reports and other relevant reports that may be required by management Understand recipe management and its impact to costing, knows recipe costing Conduct spot checks on portion control, butchery and buffet testing and provide reports on the spot checks done. Oversee the Receiving of items to ensure these are as per standards, properly recorded in the system. As the Cost Controller you know how to read and interpret variance analysis and recommend remedial action plans to take to ensure efficiency Conduct a periodic review of PAR STOCK levels to compare with the movements or business demands. You will be able to recommend updated PAR STOCK levels that will manage cost and inventory better Maintain an updated inventory list on all stores Review with Purchasing department the lead time for order fulfillment to ensure that products or stocks are delivered on time to prevent any operational disruption Oversee the Storerooms that these are properly maintained, items are monitored You will be championing use of finance and accounting and materials and management systems Fully understands the digital transaction process flow of properties and department Able to teach and conduct training on hotel and accounting systems Maximize the use of these tools to generate reports and insights relating to the management of hotel inventories and resources. You are able establish implement Cost control policies and procedures. As cost controller you are in coordination with auditors and legal for all the audit requirements compliance Knowledge of hotel reporting, such as budgets and forecast and be able to make recommendation on how they can be realized and achieved Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Financial Management, Accountancy or related field Minimum of 7 years experience in Finance department Ideally, with min of 3 years middle manager/supervisory position ( Cost Control Supervisor, Auditor) Knowledge, familiarity and connection with different hospitality organizations
