Job Overview

The Financial Controller directs and manages all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. The role is responsible for compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as any other reports required, and for presenting results and action plans to the General Manager once reports are finalised. Working closely with each department head, the Financial Controller helps the company achieve its profitability targets while keeping the business plan aligned with established budgetary guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement, with full reconciliation of expenses and liabilities in line with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.

· Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against the budget, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.

· Conduct continuous audits of all company accounts, records, and transactions.

· Prepare and review detailed monthly bank reconciliations.

· Verify prepaid expenses and deferred charges, ensuring all schedules are up to date and agree with the financial books.

· Administer credit and collection policies and procedures to maximise cash flow.
