Svea Solar is on a mission to end the use of fossil fuels. Our installations to date have helped avoid CO2 emissions equivalent to the electricity use of 1,400,000 households for an entire year. As we continue our journey towards a sustainable future, we are seeking a dedicated Cost Controller to join our team and optimize our cost management processes, further reducing CO2 emissions.

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, accounting, engineering etc)
• Some experience in working as an analyst, accountant, controller
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (MS Business Central is a plus) and MS Office suite, especially MS Excel.
• Experience, or a strong willingness to gain it, in a start-up or scale-up environment is a considerable advantage.We are looking for the right person with a willingness to learn, as we are eager to teach you. Even if you don’t meet all the requirements perfectly, we still encourage you to apply!

This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to deepen their skills in financial oversight and learn about cost controlling. In this role, you will gain a broad overview of Svea Solar’s various departments and work closely with our senior stakeholders. You will report directly to our Senior Finance Business Partner, Gintare Kersyte (feel free to look her up on LinkedIn) who reports directly to our CFO Christian Brunhøj.
As a Cost Controller at Svea Solar, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing spend transparency and control. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our costs align with budget, forecasts and financial goals. You will be responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of our expenses, performing financial analyses, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive efficiencies and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders in the company to ensure within depth cost understanding
• Track expenses across departments to ensure they are aligned with forecasts and budgets.
• Create and present financial reports, highlighting important insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
• In joint effort with stakeholders to find and drive cost and saving initiatives.
• Assist in the budgeting process by collecting input from departments and ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Take part in month-end closing tasks, including creating reports and discussing or even challenging stakeholders.
