As a Cost Engineer you have to be an expert in creating cost transparency by providing zero-based costing. During concept phase of project, your estimations will be used for business decisions. Once the design gets mature and during awarding, you have to provide detailed costing for settle the parts and tool cost at the best. Innovative thinking and outline levers for cost optimization and drive implementation during series phase to improved material cost efficiency

Responsibilities

The role involves creating cost transparency through zero-based costing and providing detailed estimations for business decisions during the concept and awarding phases. The engineer is also responsible for identifying cost optimization levers to improve material cost efficiency during the series phase.
