Job Description This is a key role for supporting successful development of new products within Rotork. The role is positioned within the Global Supply Chain and embedded in the New Product Development (NPD) team. This position is responsible for integrating cost engineering, manufacturability and supply chain considerations from the earliest stages of product design, supporting informed decision-making and ensuring competitive, sustainable and robust product solutions. Reporting to the Global Category Manager, in this role you will continue developing our procurement function within the organization. In this role you will develop a Rotork group wide Cost Engineering methodology and systematic approach, with focus on cost reduction, sustainability and customer satisfaction. Define and implement a structured, group-wide Cost Engineering methodology aligned with Rotork business objectives, utilize LeanCost / Hyperlean to develop robust and transparent cost models, contribute to ESG, GHG emissions assessment and product life-cycle cost analysis where applicable, support continuous improvement of cost engineering processes within the Global Supply Chain and NPD framework. This role would suit a determined problem-solver with experience in cost analysis, collaborate with strategic suppliers to develop cost models, identify cost drivers and deliver cost reduction initiatives, support should-cost-based negotiations in partnership with Category Managers and Procurement teams, engage suppliers early in the NPD process to support manufacturability, scalability and cost optimization. Qualifications Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering Significant experience in cost engineering, design-to-cost and Value Analysis / Value Engineering Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and should-cost methodologies Experience with cost modelling software, preferably LeanCost / Hyperlean Experience working in international, matrix organisations Fluent in English; Italian and/or German desirable The Successful Candidate: Operates autonomously with a high degree of proactivity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence technical and commercial decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and supply chain functions Comfortable operating in a global, cross-cultural environment Results-oriented mindset with flexibility on working location and approach Additional Information Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.
