Description
Establishing and maintaining our cost estimating methodologies Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis on aggregate estimate data including scale analysis Manage our cost estimating Internal Combustion Engine, Propulsion and Thermal System components (IPTS) team Coordinate costed teardown activities within Internal Combustion Engine, Propulsion and Thermal System components (IPTS), including shipping and receiving of parts across regions Manage the OCE Annual Update Process including loading costed benchmarks (OCEs) to TVM-ER, working with Finance to conduct gap adjustments / overlays, performing standard gap analysis and publishing the Gap Kit templates Support Forward Model activities to support new programs, including sourcing support as well as interactions / alignment with Internal Combustion Engine, Propulsion and Thermal System components (IPTS) Non-technical bachelor's degree with extensive cost estimating and cost analysis experience maybe considered, especially if holds MBA or other advanced degree Ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs of components by reviewing drawings, engineering specifications, and functional requirements Demonstrate an enterprise view of business concepts as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills Ability to deliver clear and concise presentations, comfortably & confidently to senior leaders Ability to work on multiple complex projects running concurrently Be an active participant in cross-functional Global Total Cost meetings Articulate cost estimating point of view including ability to explain optimal cost estimates (OCES), Should Costs, and activity-based costing (ABC) methodologies Result driven, Ford+ behavior, ownership attitude and quick turnaround of open issues and requests High integrity to maintain costing principles and ability to explain to customers Must have working knowledge of cost estimating tools and processes Willingness to travel regionally, or internationally as needed As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
