Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and lead the development of accurate, detailed cost estimates and customer quotations for precision CNC machined components. This role is critical to supporting our continued growth in the aerospace, defense, and other high-spec industries, where quality, traceability, and on-time delivery are non-negotiable.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience quoting complex, tight-tolerance parts—often involving multiple outside processes, challenging materials, and strict flow-down requirements. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and the executive team to ensure we quote competitively, profitably, and with full compliance to customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review customer RFQs and technical documentation (drawings, models, specs)
  • Interpret GD&T and functional requirements for complex machined components
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for CNC machining operations, including setup, cycle time, tooling, and labor
  • Identify and source outside processing (anodizing, plating, NDT, etc.) and factor into cost and lead time
  • Ensure compliance with customer flow-downs, quality clauses, and ITAR/AS9100 requirements
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and outside services
  • Prepare and present formal quotations and pricing packages for internal and external review
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support DFM feedback, capacity planning, and strategic pricing decisions
