COST ESTIMATOR (MID-LEVEL) - POSITION DESCRIPTION

We have immediate hire openings for Cost Estimator (Mid-Level) to join our PMS 377 Team supporting Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, DC Navy Yard, who wants to grow with the Company. ICI Services is a 100% Employee-Owned small business celebrating our 25th year delivering superior products and responsive services aligned to customers’ needs. Our employee-owners include acquisition analysts, financial analysts, engineers, configuration specialists, logisticians, technicians, IT professionals, and ship production specialists providing integral, quality support to multiple Navy organizations. We are headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA.
This position will operate under a Hybrid work schedule.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional experience in financial analysis. (desired not required)
  • Preferred experience includes DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process).
  • Proficient in use of MS Excel for development of Cost reporting documents

EDUCATIONAL & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Cost Analysis and Assessments: Provide detailed cost-related analysis and assessments of ships, submarines, and related ship systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Offer technical support in cost estimation, performing parametric trade-off studies, and assessing cost estimates.
  • Use of Computational Tools: Utilize modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments, including tools such predefined suite of cost models.
  • Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates: Develop program life cycle cost estimates for surface ship and submarine programs.
  • Trade-off Studies: Perform concepts and technology trade-off studies to support cost estimation and decision-making.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports documenting cost assessments, methodologies, and findings.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all cost estimation activities comply with relevant standards and regulations.
