QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant, to include, but not limited to, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc.
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design.
  • Expert user of industry software for quantity take-off
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to successfully pass a thorough background check to receive HSPD-12 Federal contractor clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
Responsibilities
  • Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.
  • Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
  • Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
  • Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.
