Job Description AECOM’s Cost Management team has an opportunity for a professional level Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join our successful team, based in Brisbane. The role will be working on a variety of building projects, across various market sectors. This role would suit a quantity surveyor, cost manager or estimator with buildings experience. How you’ll make a difference: Take responsibility for quantity surveying and cost management services on a range of building projects across Southeast Queensland. Conduct take-offs, develop cost reports, interact with clients and manage projects independently. Support cost planning and estimating during the design and delivery phases, including quantity measurement from architectural and engineering drawings, cash flow forecasting, construction phase cost management, capital cost analysis, and life-cycle costing. Collaborate with AECOM’s quantity surveyors and multi-disciplinary building consultants both locally and nationally on diverse projects. Leverage your expertise to provide high-quality technical advice to clients and support senior team members with various tasks. Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. Ideally, 2+ years post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, or Estimator, with knowledge of Australian standards. Prior experience on building projects is highly regarded. A strong commitment to learning, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment. A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering, with AIQS/RICS accreditation (or the ability to obtain it). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CostX or similar industry-standard estimation software.
