Job Description This role will be responsible for: Compiling and preparing tenders and cost plans based on various forms of delivery and contracts. Assisting with negotiating tenders, contract terms, and conditions to ensure favourable outcomes and compliance with project requirements. Assisting project teams to prepare detailed cost plans for head contract variations and similar claims and assisting with agreement of subcontractor and consultant variations. Identifying risks associated with head contract tender documents. Reviewing tender documents and correctly allocate the appropriate trade packages for pricing. Preparing building quantities in a format that reflects industry practices and trends. Collating cost data directly from industry suppliers, subcontractors and completed projects. Qualifications The incumbent in this role will require: Degree in a relevant discipline, and experience in cost planning or estimating for large building projects, in a principal contractor or consultant environment. Clear understanding of industry construction techniques and proficient and proven skills in industry software. Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment. Demonstrated ability to manage workload and delivery to deadlines. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
