Responsibilities

As a Cost Proposal Engineer, you are a vital link in the tendering process. You ensure that our proposals are technically sound, commercially attractive, and aligned with both the client’s needs and Bayards Helidecks’ interests.

You’ll also be involved in preparing calculations for contract variations (additional or reduced work), making you an integral part of the entire project lifecycle. This role is all about collaboration—you’ll work closely with colleagues from Sales, Engineering, and Procurement, and report directly to the Manager Projects & Tendering. Your responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and analysing project information to prepare accurate proposals.
  • Determining the most suitable construction solution in consultation with Engineering.
  • Requesting quotations and pricing from the Procurement department.
  • Calculating cost prices and compiling complete proposal packages.
  • Coordinating with Sales and maintaining client contact when necessary.
  • Maintaining standard documentation, templates, and calculation systems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the proposal process.
