Job Description Working closely with the Finance Director Group Operations, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining Costing methodologies at the Group, Hospital and Episodic levels. Playing a critical role in supporting financial transparency and efficiency across the Hospital Group, the Costing Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders ranging from executive leadership and hospital finance managers to clinical staff to ensure accurate cost allocations and identify opportunities for cost optimization. You will have impact by: Developing, recommending, and refining costing methodologies to support accurate cost allocation – from the enterprise level, down to hospitals, and episodes of care. Maintaining and updating costing allocations within the CostPro system (and any such system that may replace this), reflecting changes in cost and business structures and operations. Translating complex data into business insights that stakeholders can use to make informed decisions. Creating awareness of costs and margins across and between hospitals and services. Identifying opportunities for commercial efficiencies across business operations. Position Description Inherent Requirements Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Health Economics, or a related field. Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar roles, preferably within healthcare. Strong experience in costing allocations, margin determination and financial analysis, at a macro and service level, preferably within a hospital or health service environment. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups. Proficiency in costing allocation systems (preferably CostPro or similar platforms) and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
