Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Costing & Estimation Expert with 10–12 years of experience to join our aviation team for a 24-month assignment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering and possess extensive experience in preparing cost estimates for airside and landside works within the aviation sector. This role requires expertise in quantity take-offs, cost modeling, bid analysis, and cost-control strategies to ensure efficient and accurate project delivery. Job Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for airside and landside works, including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminal buildings, utilities, and supporting infrastructure. Ensure estimates are detailed, accurate, and aligned with project scope and requirements.Develop QTOs from drawings, BIM/CAD models, and specifications. Coordinate with design teams to validate scope and quantities, ensuring consistency across disciplines Analyze rate schedules and benchmark costs from airport projects to develop cost models. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and pricing sheets for various project stages, including concept design, tender, and EPC phases. Evaluate contractor proposals and conduct cost verification to ensure competitive pricing. Support bid analysis and provide recommendations during procurement processes. Identify cost risks and opportunities for value engineering to optimize project budgets. Develop cost-control strategies that align with airport construction constraints and phasing requirements. Support project budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and cost reporting throughout design and construction stages. Provide regular updates and insights to project stakeholders to ensure financial transparency and control. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, or related fields). Additional Information 10–12 years of experience in cost estimation and quantity surveying, with mandatory experience in aviation projects (airports). Proven expertise in preparing cost estimates for airside and landside works, including infrastructure and utilities.
