COTS Solution Architect / ICT Architect

COTS Solution Architect / Application Architect

We are looking for an experienced COTS Solution Architect / Application Architect with a strong technical and development background to work in a complex enterprise IT environment.The role combines solution and application architecture, technical analysis, security and compliance considerations, and close collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical and functional architectures for IT applications in complex environments.
• Ensure proposed architectures comply with applicable security and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct technical analysis for new projects and major changes to existing systems.
• Assess technical risks related to data migration, integrations and system compatibility.
• Define and evaluate appropriate technical solutions and architectural approaches.
• Produce technical specifications, architectural designs and implementation plans.
• Work closely with developers, technical teams, project stakeholders and other parties throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions clearly to different audiences.
• Support negotiation and stakeholder discussions where required.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and documentation.
• Demonstrate leadership, autonomy and proactive ownership of assigned activities.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Profile

• Strong professional experience as a Solution Architect, Application Architect, Technical Architect or COTS Solution Architect.
• Proven experience defining technical and functional architectures for IT applications.
• Experience working in complex enterprise IT environments.
• Strong experience in technical analysis for new projects and major system changes.
• Experience assessing risks involving:
• Data migration
• System integration
• System compatibility
• Technical architecture
• Proven ability to document technical specifications, architectural designs and implementation plans.
• Strong development background.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Leadership skills combined with a proactive and autonomous approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• TOGAF certification – nice to have or willing to provide it in case of selection

• Technical EnvironmentGood knowledge of enterprise application architecture technologies and practices, including:Java
• Databases
• Spring Boot
• GitLab
• Jenkins
• SonarQube
• Linux
• DevSecOps
• Cloud infrastructure
• Containers

Experience with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, ARIS, Closer, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint is expected.
