JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to Vice President, Legal, this employee will serve within the Company’s legal department as an in-house attorney. The employee will draft, review and negotiate contracts and while working closely with various groups within the company. The employee will review contracts related to procurement of goods and services, LNG and natural gas sales, vessel chartering, and regasification services. The employee will help monitor contractual obligations and oversee any disputes arising under the contracts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities: • Draft, review and negotiate contracts in collaboration with various groups within the Company. • Oversee existing contracts to ensure on-going compliance with contractual requirements. • Play active role in coordination with various teams (finance, operations, commercial, other) to ensure proper legal involvement and coordination. • Participate in meetings and calls to discuss contracts or new deals. • Review and update standard legal templates. Requirements • Graduate of a highly ranked US law school or English law school (Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent). • Licensed to practice law in the US. • 3+ years practicing as an attorney at a law firm or at a company, with specialization in transactional work and contract review.
