Role reports to: Sr Counsel Investigations Location: Asia Pacific, Singapore, Singapore, Singapore Work Location: Hybrid What you will do Counsel, Investigations APAC is responsible for conducting and leading all aspects of internal investigations into potential violations of law, internal policies and procedures, and other standards by Company employees and business partners, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region. The Counsel is responsible for providing analysis and guidance on complex legal issues, as well as and anticipating and guarding against legal risks facing the company. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex investigations across the APAC region, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements Handle investigations both independently and with outside counsel, including strategizing, reviewing documents / data, conducting interviews, and drafting reports Select, engage, and manage outside counsel and forensic accounting/investigations firms on investigation planning and approach, budgeting and invoicing, and investigations end-to-end Ensure that investigation results are achieved timely and accurately Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management and stakeholders on investigative matters Recommend policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the investigations process Perform and leverage data analytics to enhance investigation procedures and recordkeeping/tracking Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in investigations to continuously improve processes What we are looking for Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent qualification Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the APAC region 7-10+ years of legal experience in conducting investigations, preferably in a multinational corporation or law firm Experience working in a global or regional function, across multiple jurisdictions High degree of independent judgment and decision-making Desired Qualifications Working experience in accounting issues Familiarity with laws and regulations regarding accounting and securities Familiarity with global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws Fluency in Mandarin What’s in it for you Competitive Total Rewards Package* Paid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time & More!
