In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S. Job Description Summary: The Counselor is responsible for being a risk management and business advisor to Region, Specialty Business, and Functional leadership, including being a legal and risk management lead with transaction and commercial support for sales, procurement, operations, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and ethics investigations, litigation and dispute proceedings, labor and employment matters, and other legal matters. Works closely with and under the supervision of the General Counsel and other Senior Counsel within the Legal department. What You'll Do: Counselor and risk management business advisor to Region, Specialty Business and Functional leadership Transaction and commercial support for field sales, procurement and operations, and the development of template commercial documents Counseling on labor and employment matters, including development of template labor and employment documents Manage compliance counseling as well as compliance and ethics investigations Management and oversight of litigation and dispute proceedings Legal support on mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and working with external counsel Handling miscellaneous and various legal matters for the company, including privacy, information technology, intellectual property, corporate governance, and other matters Other duties as assigned Qualifications 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Required Graduate Degree - Required Juris Doctor (J.D.)
