ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a dedicated Counselling Coordinator who is passionate about supporting individuals affected by homelessness and committed to ensuring fair access to therapeutic care. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the counselling service, ensuring it aligns with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical standards and Turning Tides’ trauma-informed approach.
This is an opportunity to lead and shape a vital counselling service that fosters healing, resilience, and long-term change for individuals experiencing homelessness. By ensuring ethical, high-quality, and accessible support, the Counselling Coordinator will play a key role in empowering individuals to take control of their futures.
Turning Tides operates a small-scale volunteer counselling service, offering a responsive, professional, and accessible pathway to therapeutic support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Recognising the significant barriers and health inequalities faced by those experiencing multiple and compound needs, the service plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable change. Clients consistently highlight the safe and supportive space it provides, enabling them to explore their experiences, develop essential self-management tools, and build more stable, fulfilling lives.
This role is fixed term for one year.
