This role is essential in supporting the emotional well-being, personal growth, and success of young adults ages 16–24 enrolled in the program. Why Join Pine Ridge Job Corps? * Opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of young adults preparing for careers and independence * Work in a unique residential training environment operated by the U.S. Forest Service * Be part of a mission-driven program that combines education, vocational training, and personal development Position Details Labor Category: Mental Health Consultant (CMHC) Responsibilities: * Provide all labor, materials, and travel necessary to deliver mental health services to students * Conduct assessments, counseling sessions, crisis interventions, and referrals as needed * Collaborate with center staff to promote a safe, supportive, and healthy environment * Develop and implement strategies to address behavioral and emotional challenges * Maintain compliance with Job Corps policies, federal guidelines, and professional standards Licensure & Qualifications * Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted license in a mental health discipline (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist) * License must have no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions * License must remain active throughout the contract period * Must meet minimum education and experience requirements (waivers possible with Contracting Officer approval) * Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills required * Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred
