We are seeking skilled Australian therapists to provide direction and support to one of our Corporate Clients and to Safe Space™. As a therapist, you will help clients build coping mechanisms to navigate stressful situations, offering face-to-face and online sessions. You must be fluent in English, culturally attuned to Australian clients, and able to connect authentically with their experiences. Your duties will include listening to clients, asking relevant questions, and developing effective strategies to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate with support networks, government resources, and community resources working with your clients. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional, and possess outstanding people skills, with a deep understanding of Australian cultural nuances.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a professional counsellor.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) and deep understanding of Australian culture.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and create a safe, culturally sensitive environment to help them open up.
  • Proven experience in developing effective, culturally appropriate treatment plans.
  • Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face and online assessments through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine appropriate testing or examination.
  • Diagnose clients’ mental and emotional disorders.
  • Create effective treatment plans that include counselling, medication, or other services.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized goals.
  • Regularly review and discuss treatment plans with clients to identify areas for improvement.
  • Educate clients on appropriate coping mechanisms to manage challenging situations.
  • Maintain detailed records of clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct group counselling sessions when required.
  • Collaborate with Safe Space™, the Counselling Team, and other stakeholders on projects.
  • Provide advice, direction, and support on clinical matters to Safe Space™.
  • Assist with general and project-related administrative and logistics duties.
