What You’ll Do: As a Counselor Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting individuals and families in a culturally grounded, community-focused setting. While working under the supervision of a licensed clinician, you will provide meaningful, high-quality care while continuing to grow your clinical skills. Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and assist in developing diagnoses and treatment recommendations Provide individual, group, and family counseling services Support clients experiencing crisis, including those with suicidal thoughts or behaviors, using evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT) Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans with measurable goals Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record Provide consistent client engagement, maintaining regular contact and continuity of care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to support holistic client wellness Participate in community outreach, prevention, and education activities Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development What You Bring: Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services, or related field Completion of a clinical practicum or internship with supervised experience Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential (or pending) Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Commitment to obtaining licensure (must sit for exam within 6 months of hire) Why PTHA?
