JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a college counselor to help guide students in the right path, whether it be to the college of their dreams, or helping them decide what they should do with their future as young adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide students through their academic and extracurricular work and ultimately, the college admissions process.
  • Offer advice regarding choice of career/major, coursework, college selection, and all related areas that compose a successful high school career.
  • Help students navigate and fill out the UC, CSU and Common Application
  • Help students brainstorm ideas and edit college admissions essays
  • Guide students with our Unique Application Strategy (UAS) during their high school careers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a top university.
  • Graduate degree(s) preferred although not required.
  • Experience in education required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience as a college application counselor is preferred.
  • Solid follow-through skills and detail oriented.
  • Bilingual: fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is a plus!
