Description:
Overview:
Reporting to the Cage Supervisor, the Count Room Clerk will ensure they promote the utmost integrity and respect to all management and staff. Responsible for the count of currency pulled from slot terminals, TITO redemption kiosks (TRK’s), outlet floats, currency orders received and poker rakes. The position is also responsible for preparing bank deposits.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the guest is being provided with superior customer service
- A passion for excellent service and the organization’s vision
- Encourage mutual accountability in service and inspiring others
- Uphold a teamwork experience offering assistance where available or when requested
- Ability to accept responsibility readily and grasp instructions
- Adhere to all policies and procedures for effective and secure cash flow
- Responsible for counting all currency and reconciling all associated paperwork
- Identify and report counterfeit currency
- Ensure all applicable paperwork related to the Count Room/Slot Cage are provided to the Cage Supervisor on a timely and efficient basis
- Ensure proper and accurate bank deposits for the Finance Department, as well as, all other applicable outlets
- Monitor and report security and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for associates
- Required to handle / verification of large amounts of currency
- Problem solving skills when balancing
- Be at team player
- Support and communicate with all associates within the casino floor
- Uphold a teamwork appearance helping where available or when requested
- Physical motion of pulling slot terminal bill boxes from carts, repetitive motions, kneeling, standing/sitting for long periods of times
- Computer data entry
- Maintain proper maintenance of all related coin/currency handling equipment
- Due care and attention to terminal bill boxes
- Balancing and exporting of the daily currency count
- Slot and outlet deposits
- Balancing and reporting of the TRK kiosks
- Maintain currency for the ATM’s
- Maintain an AGLC gaming workers license
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma an asset
- Must be able to register with AGLC
- Entry level accounting an asset
- Large cash handling or banking experience is required
- Previous Casino Count Room experience an asset
- Physical motion of pulling slot terminal bill boxes from carts, repetitive motions, kneeling, standing/sitting for long periods of times
The Count Room Clerk will be required to work in with a few other count room clerks. The schedule for this position is a compressed work week. It would require the candidate to start early mornings until late afternoons (5:30am to 3:30pm). The schedule varies and must be available weekends, and holidays
