Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counter Assistant to join our team in a bustling Butchers environment. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the counter service. This job will be mainly at our site in Sleaford but some shifts will be required at our other site in Heckington.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by taking orders and handling payments efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns promptly
• Upsell additional items to increase sales revenue
• Support food preparation activities as needed
• Maintain a clean and organised counter area

• Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times

  Qualifications

• Experience in a Food retail setting is advantageous

• Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions accurately
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
