Position Title: Counter Sales and Warehouse Assistant
Department: Sales & Operations
Location: Concord, Ontario
Reports To: Branch Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical knowledge in HVAC is preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales, HVAC parts supply, or warehouse operations are added values.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in warehouse conditions.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, Quickbooks Online software, and basic computer skills.
  • Forklift license or willingness to train is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Counter Sales and Warehouse Assistant supports the operations of the store by
managing customer sales at the counter and assisting with warehouse functions. The role ensures timely,
professional service to customers while maintaining accurate inventory and efficient stock movement.

A. COUNTER SALES DUTIES

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using Quickbooks Online.
  • Provide product information, availability, pricing, and recommendations for HVAC products.
  • Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Upsell products and promote current sales or promotions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers /contractors.

B. WAREHOUSE ASSISTANCE DUTIES

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of HVAC materials and equipment.
  • Organize and stock inventory in accordance with company standards.
  • Prepare and fulfill customer orders (pick, pack, and label items).
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks safely.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and assist with inventory audits.

C. GENERAL DUTIES

  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet store and customer service goals.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (if licensed/trained).
  • Participate in training and development activities.
